Ashley started a new job as a florist about 6 months before her death. She LOVED it. Each week, she would show off her latest creations and share why she chose each flower. On the day of her death, I asked a friend to go to the florist and purchase all of Ashley’s arrangements so we could have them in our home. When she shared with the manager why she was there, the manager took off each price tag, and gave ALL of Ashley’s arrangements to our friend. Twice a year we ask our friends and family to give flowers in honor of our sweet daughter. #flowersforash is a way to brighten the day of those who need a lift.
In February, we seek to Petal it Forward. I heard this phrase when I was searching for ways to share kindness through flowers. The gist of it is to give two bouquets away and ask the recipient to give one of them to another- Petal it Forward. Because Ashley loved her job as a florist, and she had so many who showed kindness through the years, we are Petaling it Forward during her birthday month. Attached you will find the program we have for schools. At the end of January, we will include an updated Petal it Forward calendar with ways to show your appreciation to others. Our hope is to honor our sweet girl through kindness and love. We look forward to seeing and hearing your experiences with #flowersforash XOXO
